THE BATTLE WITHIN
What can you do with the battle within, with a battle so large you feel you can't possibly win?
You set your goal and plant your feet, with Bible and pen in hand. And there you are . . . humbly and patient before the Lord you stand.
You see, by now, thoughts run through your mind, for it's a desperate plea! "Oh Lord, aren't I a child of Yours?" "Do You now have no need of me?"
Through the years I've heard your praises. I've really done my best! Lord . . . don't let me be silent now, and lay your songs at rest!
I know I'm supposed to say, "Dear Lord, not my will but Thine!". . . . . .
"When the tools get taken away my child, it makes the job divine!"
"Don't you remember the promises I've made . ? . I'll never leave you alone!" "You won't need to sing of my praises over T. V. or telephone!"
"So be of good courage, be patient and wait, for I have plans for thee! You'll hear My voice! You'll remember my praises! You'll sing and play on key!"
"So don't doubt your talents . . . You'll have need of these. Don't even question the time! For I have a job for you, my child; And this job is a job divine!"

This poem was written by Lueiana Griffith, who was told by the Doctors in 1986 that she may lose all her hearing completely. She cried and then she put a pen in hand and God directed this pen and wrote this poem for our encouragement. The hearing was restored 6 months later in the left ear but the right ear still remains profoundly deaf. Praise the Lord!!!!
