I didn't approve at all - Jadzia was a very unique character. That kind of acting is really hard to beat , Ezri Dax is really cute & all but doesn't possess Jadzia sense of humor & edge . , Ezri is doing really well , but I don't think she could ever fill Jadzia's shoes. , Actually, I confess I liked the series a lot but after Jadzia's death I was so ruined that I quit watching it.

i hope they kick docuts ass, i don't know i'm in new zeland and dax has just been killed, hell no my life is over no longer seeing the action 1/2 hour that gives my life meaning (haha).
to sum up ds9 in one word (rocks) it funny and full of dramers and sometime it just takes the piss.

It'll leave room 4 a new character whose abilties have 2 b better than Jadzia. , Yeah b/c she has Jadzia's memories and Warf has a new mate. , no b/c i always looked 4ward 2 seeing all 3 star trek series., honestly what usually kills the episodes 4 me is when the episode centers on Cork b/c most of the episodes that surround cork r comical in nature. As far as Star Trek as a whole when I want 2 leave this planet I tune in 2 some Star Trek.

When Jadz died, I didn't believe my eyes. It just wasn't her time yet! She was so young and happy and... well, you know what I wanna say. But thinking it the other way it was a good way of saying goodbye to Terry when she was leaving the series and what else could the writers have done with the character? This was a good, though sad way, to wrap things up..., I think that Ezri can never replace Jadz. They are two totally different people! We can't assume Ezri to replace Jadz, but we can enjoy both characters.. Although Jadz was very important to us and a special one, but that's just the way life goes!, Well, no, TV ainīt gonna be the same anymore.... But we can always watch DS9 on video, can't we? It was a dear show for us, but now that it's gone, it doesn't have to end up like this. The story continues on books, in our minds, and so on..., DS9 affected my life very deeply.. DS9 is the reason I'm still alive! I'm thankful for ds9!

I believe the death of Jadzia Dax was the end to DS9. After her death, I had no interest in DS9 anymore. I still watch the old episodes, but its not the same. Dax was an asset to Star Trek. The woman they had to replace her could never compare to Jadzia.
Everyone of us here are still in mourning. , Ezri Dax would have been more exciting if she had been cast in a different manner. But as the replacement for Jadzia, she was horrible. No one can replace Jadzia, I am still shocked this death has even happened., No television will not be the same after DS9., Personally, I believe that Star Trek should have its own channel. But they must adhere to a new policy - NO canceling any shows. 24 hours a day of Star Trek - Think about it!!!!!

No. When DS9 aired in 93 I was only 9 and the only show I really watched was the original series and a little of The Next Generation. After I watched the first episode I really didn't like it. It wasn't until I got about 12 and DS9 hit its 4th season did I start watching it. I really started to like it and now it's my favorite. My favorite character was Dax. (Terry Farrell) I now have taped most of the series off TV. I still haven't seen the episode whereas she's killed. Her role was probably if not the most important, one of the most important roles in the show.
No. Ezri is cute but her role isn't very important. I like her relationship with Bashir (hey I'm a teenager) but that's about it. I thought they should have least brought her back in the episode "The Emperor's New Cloak" In which Quark and Rom travel to the mirror universe to rescue their Nagus. (father) It just so happens that both Jadzia's from two different universes were killed and that both Symbionts (forgive my spelling) got the same new host. (It still was a good episode) The one thing I don't get is if Dax has all her (or his) old memories from all her old host why why Dax reduced in rank from Lt. Commander to Lieutenant junior grade and not given her old post back at the helm of the Defiant.
Yes. Television will miss DS9 but life goes on. There will always be reruns. But with Voyager ending next year there will be no more new episodes. By the way, I hear that Voyager is going to kill a major character in their 7th season. When Voyager ends in November 2001 a 10th movie is going to be released. There not sure on the cast yet but its going to be a adventures movie filled with lots of special effects and a lot of fighting. (Sounds like a Star Wars movie) Anyways its probably going to feature the TNG crew but I hope they use DS9 or even better combine the two. Use Worf as the tie between the two. Shortly after that's released a new series is going to be released.
I love it. Even with Jadzia gone the 7th season had some of the best episodes. (My favorite is actually a 5th season episode called "Trials and Tribble Ations" mainly cause they interact with the characters from the original series) I grew up watching Star Trek now I'm 16 and as a look back and watch all the episodes and movies (which I do Once a year in November, I watch them in time order) I learn more about it. I first started watching it for the action and adventure but now I watch it for more than that. DS9 had the best story line out of the 4 series so for. I hope that the new series is even better.

I think it was a shame Terry had to leave. I feel Dax's death was a throw away. It didn't help the show., NO!, TV will survive. Terry is on Becker!, STAR TREK (TOS) is great! TNG is really close.
DS9 was good (Mostly due to Terry!)
Voyager is only fair. (Jeri Ryan saved it!)
