I DON'T think that her death will benifit the series at all. She was often the comic releif in the show, and Ben Sisko's confident. The show needs her.
I think that Worf will fall into depression and denial, I feel that they should try and end the war as soon as possible.

The dramatic effect was not lost on me. But were the writers so desperate for ... (what?) that they felt they had to kill off someone close to home to make the show more gutwrenching? Will the character's death benefit the series? It made one episode very effective, but I am not certain to what end. Even if it is not true in life, it is valid in fiction that the loss of a central character MUST have meaning. So. An accidental death, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, being murdered while giving thanks. All very poignant, but completely meaningless. I watch Star Trek to get away from existentialism, not to find myself mired in it.
I hope Michael Dorn isn't the next one out the door.
It certainly gives them a dramatic conflict.

I think this sucks, she was my favorite character. I hope that Terry Farrell wanted out and that they did not write her out. For if they wrote her out, I am very mad!!! She was the best character on the show. Bring her back, the brought Spock back! DAMMIT JIM!!!!, Jadzia brought out the best in Worf, I think he will become more violet (more like a Klingon). I do not want to see him forget her easily.
I think they should kick some Carassian butt! The only Cardassion that I like is Garrack, he is cool! The founders should bring Jadzia back! The original Star Trek brought Spock back! Maybe it was all a dream like in Dallas! She could wake up in bed with Quark, and have it be part of her nightmare!

I don't really mind how she dies, I just mind the fact that she DID die. I mean, I liked her .... she was cool, and was a decent character. Not to mention the fact she was cute! :)

i think someone at the top made a "BIG" mistake...not at all...worf is a klingon..
they should wipe out the founders and still keep DS9 after they stop make this
tv show..i seen some where, they wanted to destory DS9 at the very end...why do they
want to destory all the time?see ya

Good Thing, I hated that tiretrack head from the beginning. The show is much better without her.
I hope so, maybe he may become a real klingon again, not some git falling in love with aliens.
He might yet get back to kicking ass.Heck yeah! They've done a whole lot to build up to this point, and they're dug in for a good long war.
