Music
I have found the best music to scene to (flogging,
caning, cropping, piercing) has an instrumental or
sounds(without lyrics) nature. The movements are varying
- leading you from slow to fast, slow to fast and
ending in slow. Gothic, ethereal, new age, native,
Indian, east Indian, classical, trip-hop, industrial
are some potential genres.
Here's some ideas to help you get started:

- Most Classical Music
- Cafe Del Mar
- Youssou N'Dour
- Delerium
- Enya
- Loreena McKennitt
- Air
- Tangerine Dreams
Of course, if you are role playing - music of that
time period or scene would be better. For example,
a medial/company scene might have Muzak or a 1950's
scene might include music from that tiime period.
If you get nothing more from this list, then some
new artists to listen to - that would make me happy!
