Prince Edmund Winslow arrived in Springfield after being exiled from his homeland, the Island of San Cristobel. Edmund's older brother, Richard, was forced to punish Edmund with banishment for crimes against the crown. Phillip Spaulding, wishing to help Richard, gave Edmund a position at Spaulding Enterprises. Edmund, not content to play second fiddle to anyone, blackmailed Phillip and continued trying to gain power in San Cristobel by discrediting Richard and Cassie.
When Richard discovered Edmund's scheming, he decided to have his brother executed. After a fraught, emotional confrontation where they discussed their childhood problems. Richard decided to spare Edmund's life. This prompted Edmund to (temporarily) turn over a new leaf, but soon, temptation got the better of him. Edmund has continued plotting Richard's downfall with his older brother none the wiser (so far). As if that wasn't enough to keep him busy, Edmund has also worked his way into the good graces of Lizzie Spaulding, Susan Lemay, and Beth Lemay. Will there finally be an honest romance and family life in Edmund's future? Only time will tell...
