This picture was drawn for me by Sacree Smolenski. If you notice some anime characteristics, you're right. I did some editing to Cherry and colored it with pencil. It takes place at a point where she's stopped growing taller, so they're both six English feet tall. Basically, she's about ready to kill Baslon. However, this is a public kiss for political purposes, and he's taking full advantage of the situation. Also, see how he's holding her hand? Well, a vampire is a lot stronger than Cherry, so that seemingly relaxed grip is a grip of iron. He's holding on for dear life. Ragged nails are accurate. I'm not sure about her coloring, but Baslon's is fine. I misinterpreted a few of Sacree's lines, so the perspective is skewed. The gold on his collar is the royal sigil, a crown.

Amara, human, by Sacree Smolenski.

Teran, under-prince of vampires, formerly human, by Sacree Smolenski.

Michael, twelve years old, also primarily by Sacree. He's still of the opinion that human, Christian males are superior to any other being, and is very anxious to protect Cherry.

Cherry casting a spell, probably in defense against the sleep spell Queen Vrenkley casts. Her inhumanity is here emphasized; it won't become so obvious until late in the fifth book. I did this one myself. You can see the wounds that never heal on her neck. The flowers on her tunic are Tudor roses, which won't be adopted as the symbol of the Royal Family of England until 1483. At her neck is the circular gods'-tree (one vertical line and seven horizontal lines within a circle), the symbol of Mnerecros, with a few extra lines around for ornamentation. I randomly decided to put a flower in her hair; it's not the one at the end of the second book.

Queen Arada, being prickly, and possibly about to insult someone.

Queen Vrenkley of Mnerecros. The crown is informal. She disapproves of something her daughter just did.

Gigea, Roumlie's semi-sister, by Sacree Smolenski. The leaves indicate her status as a healer. She has blue for herself, red and purple for Cherry, and the leaves are gold for the crown.

Queen-Mother Arada, vampire, by Sacree Smolenski.

Chief Healer Roumlie, elf, by Sacree Smolenski.

Baslon's father, king of the supernatural, ruler of vampires, by Sacree Smolenski.

Amara. A demonstration of why Sacree did all those others for me.

King Baslon, after he's been king for a while.

The narrator of the fourth book, Ralozeiauoy of Nesel of Filch. Again, Sacree did the original drawing, and I edited and colored it in.

Random Vampire

Cherry Amano Tudor running away (in human form and alone), taking a long cut through the woods to avoid pursuit. She was recently visiting, and got forced into some politics, which is why she's in a dress and crown. During this visit, she didn't have much opportunity to use magic, and so is overloading. There will probably be a storm soon. Alternatively, Alice in Wonderland after the caterpillar turned into a butterfly.
