AN ARCH IN THE SKY

I am the flowered vine;
Amaranthine,
Garnet, and ruby-rose
Rise the flowers in an ordered line
And wandering, wild rows.
Starry flares of sunshine
Among flame and tiger shows.
The springly life and emerald,
Turquoise and azure
Leafèd vines climb higher, higher.
Ancient branches lift flowers to skies of old
Indigo dyes highlight ebony kohls.
Deep purple,
So colorful!
The flowered vine
Is mine
Alone.
The colored vine
Rises in rows.
