THE WINDS
There's a strange young stranger coming to the city now
‘Twould be best if we caught up to him now, anyhow
Whenever one has questions, ask a stranger, thou.
Then return to milking cows.
If an answer's not forthcoming, travel West
You may find an answer working at it's best
Hurry up to travel, wash and get dressed
Then return to take your rest.
If an answer's not forthcoming, travel North
Don your coat and cloak and hat and travel forth
A pot of gold is less than an answer's worth
Then warm your feet upon the hearth.
If an answer's not forthcoming, travel East
O'er hill and hedge avoid trouble and beast
Follow advice, eat bread without yeast
Then return home for a feast.
If an answer's not forthccoming, travel South
Set your feet on the road and travel South
Follow you heart, you'll find your growth
When home then fill your mouth.
An answer's worth a pot of gold
Over dales to the rainbow
Listen to each village's old
Return home, don't stay forever cold.
