Chapter 2 – The Windswept Wall

So...after many stories the group began to gel and they decided to adventure together. By this time Tari had sobered up somewhat and would be useful searching for traps if need be. Thrall informed Lia and Tari about the rumors of what was happening at the Windswept Wall in the west. A wizard named Sionnas was recruiting people to help him escavate the mountain in search of a magical item. Due to the sensitivity of the item, no magic was allowed to me used.

It was just then when a small paige boy came charging into the bar crying for help, that there was a huge cave-in at the Windswept Wall and they needed help. Our heros could hardly resist the opportunity to help, so off they went on horses provided by the paige.

They rode hard along the river, lead by the paige until they came to the mining camp at the Windswept Wall.

Upon arrival the supervisor of the mining group informed the heros that there had been a cave-in and many men were trapped in the tunnels. Immediately the group went to work digging. After some time the men were recovered, one by one. There was only one living survivor. While he wounds were being tended to, he explained that there were large rat type creatures which caused the cave-in.

Upon hearing this, our adventurers began to explore the tunnels which had been cleared. They came to a fork in the tunnels and went to the right. As they travelled down the passage the sound of rats became louder and louder until they came to large room filled with dire rats. Luckily, the rats were defeated without too much effort. They group then proceeded down the other passage.

It ended after some time with a cracked wall. After some effort of Thrall, an opening large enough for someone to fit through was made. The group proceeded through into a huge cavern. At the end there seemed to be an odd rock formation. The slowly appraoched and found that it was a Delver, when it swung and hit Lia very hard; Lia's clothes and armour falling into pieces from the acid secreated by the Delver. After a couple of swings, Thrall knew they were out matched and they all retreated to the mining camp.

Tired, beaten, and one member naked...our adventurers made it back safely. Thankfully, the supervisor gave Lia some new clothes and armor from the camp supplies. With evening drawing close, the group rested and slept.

NEW DAY!

After having some breakfast porridge with the miners, the group tended to what they needed to do.
Thrall, went to talk with Sionass the wizard heaidng up this mining escavation. After getting his hand thumped/crushed by the ill tempered wizard, Thrall learned that the fog that engulfed the area imminated from a cave to the west. Some went to investigate but when they entered the cave they never came back. It was determined that the fog inside the cave was deadly.

Meanwhile...
Lia and Tari were waiting for Lia's hawk to come back to report on the area. When Thrall rejoined them, the information about the cave was confirmed. Also, that the Orges to the north were still in the Holden Woods.

A LARGE debate insued on whether to go and take out the orges or not. Thrall wanted to, Lia didn't, and Tari didn't care. In the end, they didn't go. Instead, they gathered their horses and headed back to Poisson through the Mossy Woods. On their way they chatted with a farmer or two and gathered some information.

Chapter 3 - There and Back Again
