The sun is high in the sky,
But the autumn breezes,
Brings a coolness to the day.
The coolness brings back memories,

Of days when i was happy,
I thought i was in love.
The kind of love that has no end,
When you can stare into your lover’s eyes,

And forget what you were saying.
I find myself thinking of him for no reason,
I smile,
Only I know what the smile is for.

That cool autumn day,
When we first me,
Is so clear in my thoughts.
I want that day back again,

But for now,
All I have is Autumn breezes.

I put on a smile,
Trying to hide the hurt inside,
Everyone sees the happiness I put on,
But I know the true hurt.

I hurt because of who I am,
I’m not free to love in public,
I see happy couples holding hands,
Kissing.

It hurts me
My boyfriend and I could not do that,
At least not yet,
In our time it’s taboo.

But yet I yearn for the day when I can,
I want to show the world,
Who I love,
And why I love him.

I love him because,
He treats me right,
He’s always there for me,
And he makes me smile.

What is wrong with that?
How can something like that,
Be bad?
It’s not in my eyes.

I walk the beach at night,
Hoping to hide myself from the world,
I see some guys and take off in flight,
Hoping they didn’t see me,

Is this the way to live?
What am I afraid of?
I’m like everyone else,
I laugh,

I cry,
I smile,
I enjoy life.
But I am gay,
And that is the reason so many people ridicule me,

Have you ever watched the sunrise,
On a chilly autumn morning?
Just to see the sky change a thousand colors,
Is worth the world.

To feel the energy radiating out,
To see the first rays of light,
To smell the crispness of the morning dawn,
And to know that you are alive.

With the slowness of a snail,
But with the swiftness of a swallow.

Looking into your eyes,
I remember the years past.
The joy, the pain,
The love.

I can remember them in an instant,
But it feels forever.
What joy this life is with you,
Loving one another as time passes by...

I feel the cool, crisp air flowing over my face,
With each passing second my nose gets colder.
I watch the moonlight dance across the yard,
Touching the ground ever so lightly.

I feel renewed again,
Like a child I wait to see what happens next.
I reach for my coffee,
Feeling it’s warmth.

I think of the days that i want to come,
Having someone to show this to.
Sharing a blanket and holding onto each other,
Feeling what the other feels.

I can just feel the warmth of his body,
Gentle warmth that reaches deep into my soul.
I know he’s there for me,
Even though he’s speachless.
