Robert died after eating
cocaine that had been left lying within his reach. His mother, Nealie Beatty,
was sentenced to 10 years probation after being convicted of third-degree
injury to a child. The jury found her not guilty of the first-degree charge,
which carried a life sentence. Robert's father, Robert Sr. Beaty is serving
a life sentence after being convicted of first-degree murder.
