Dequayah's father, Dennis Dunham has been arraigned on murder charges for allegedly beating her to death because she was not doing well with toilet training. He allegedly hit Dequayah with a belt and severely shook her because he was upset because of the slowness of her becoming potty trained.

David and Peggy Dunne's "Bonny Baby" was crawling and laughing in his navy cardigan and teddy bear britches when his grandmother cooed good-bye to him. She had played "This Little Piggy Went To Market" with his little fingers, and he stuck out his fist for more. But it was time for her to get to work. Three hours later, Kieran, blue-eyed and blond, lay slumped over, his hair curling at his neck, his eyes lifeless. His nanny was accused of killing him.
