I just got tired of knitting and finished the baby blanket. Wonder of Wonders, it looks just great the way it is. I only have a little yarn left and will save it for repairs or whatever.

My imported silkies are starting to emerge and I have 3 females and 2 males in the rosa strain. One of the poor overworked males had to do double duty. I didn't hear him complain however. The other female is already laying eggs. I hope they breed true.

Of the Oro strain I have 3 males and one female finally emerged. So I have one mated pair of them. The largest cocoons have yet to emerge and the two remaining males are guarding them.

It has been very hot here and today it is 107.  Guess what, you can fry an egg on hot cement. I let the dog eat it.
