Do you remember what you were doing 5 years ago today?

I do.

I was sitting at my computer with the radio on. I heard that the World Trade Center in New York city was on fire.  I turned on the tv and found a news channel. One building was burning and I saw the second plane hit the other building. I watched, horrified, as they burned and fell. I cried when I saw people jumping to their deaths trying to flee the flames. I watched the Pentagon burn, with black smoke filling the blue sky. Later I listened as the reports about another plane that went down in Pennsylavania.

What kind of mind can wreck such havoc on innocent people?  There were people from all over the world working in the towers. I was not just Americans. There were women, children, and babies on the planes. What kind of hate can generate such a murder?

The man responsible had so much hate in his heart there was no room for anything else. He feared our freedom, our spirit, our love of life. He is still living in his blanket of hate, 5 years later.

You wonder how one person can do this to others. I believe it is because they teach hate for all things that are different.  They use thier religion as a crutch to teach youth to hate. "If you don't believe what I believe you are the enemy".  That is their message. "You have no right to voice your own opinion. No right to  the worship of your own choosing. You must believe what we say or we will kill you and your family and all who believe as you do."

As long as hate is the teacher there will never be peace amoung men.
