Day Two: Magic Kingdom and Victoria & Albert's

Wakeup calls in the Disney resorts are fun. You get a call from Mickey (pre-recorded) telling you to rise and shine because there's a lot to do that day (and how true that is). We had breakfast in the hotel room and then grabbed the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom.

We got to the Magic Kingdom right after the park opened and our plan was to take the train around to Toontown and meet as many of the characters (for the kids) as possible. We got to the Toontown station only to find out that it didn't open until 10am and we had an hour to burn. Unfortunately, that station only services Toontown and... Tomorrowland, so off we were to walk the long way around to Fantasyland and the other entrance to Toontown. But at least we had a map and a plan again!

Here we are walking towards Tomorrowland. Other than my thumb, we have Maria striking out on her own and Emily, mommy and Andrew off in the distance.

Following the path around though Tomorrowland took us past the Grand Prix again and Andrew kept on about wanting to ride it for the rest of the trip, but he enjoyed himself anyway (you can ask him, he says so himself). In Fantasyland we rode the Mad Tea Party as a family with Christine, Andrew and Emily sharing one cup and Maria and Duncan in another. Following that ride we went over and rode the Dumbo ride before going into Toontown finally.

In Toontown we visited a bunch of characters and took pictures with them (more on that later, don't have the pictures ready to upload yet) and Andrew and Duncan rode the Barnstormer. First sad moment at Disney occured here: Andrew's Darth Maul™ ball cap blew off while we were riding it; we got him a Toy Story 2™ hat to replace it and, after we got home, called Disney's lost and found who had it and returned it to us via USPS at no charge.

(more to come later)
