Absolute Serenity

I have kissed away silence that once ushered peace
Spoken words into the air, shattering a tune
Open your eyes and know that I exist
Feel me, and understand my passion

I have gazed toward the light, finding a ray of hope
Jumped into darkness dissolving it all away
Find me, if you should allow such gross thought
Bleed with me; serenity

I have tasted life with the bitterness of pain
Coughed up iniquity, just to eat it again
Taste the dust of my shoes and find me friend
Let me go so I can hold you, hold you

I have loved the God of Jesus, only to die
Touched the cross that held His last breath,
As my hand shook
Leap into my eyes and grab the truth; Your
Absolute, serenity
