Welcome to Reckon's page. Reckon came to me at about 18 months of age. He'd been in an agility home that decided he didn't have the focus for agility. He came to me looking for a herding home, but, that home ended up being with me. Reckon has a lot of natural drive and is a nice boy. He's very soft outside of stock (which could have been part of the "focus" problem). We are hoping he can not only work stock, but learn to run flyball (and carry on the proud family tradition!) as well.
Reckon is also doing disc dog work. He has only done Distance and Accuracy (DA) tests, but he's place in the top 10 on a couple of attempts. Reckon has been slow going in disc dog as his paw-eye coordination isn't great, but he's getting there (and he LOVES it).
Reck is doing well in his basic training and has been dubbed the "Train Reck" in flyball (Tag is the "Freight Train"). Despite contrary belief Reck has been able to do flyball. It's been slow going, but he's doing well. He's best time so far is a 4.35 and he still needs a lot more focus work. I think we can get him down to low 4's easily!
