Well intelligent design is not science, so I guess we need not concern ourselves with the opinions of scientists on the truth of intelligent design.

If intelligent design is theology, which some claim it is, then should we be most concerned with what theologians think, that is if we want to be un-American enough to concern ourselves with the opinions of experts in the first place.

Of course we should not simply take it from scientists that intelligent design is theology. Perhaps the theologians do not want it. If it is the right of scientists to declare that something is outside their area, shouldn't it be the right of theologians to do the same?

Of course this assumes that there is such a thing a scientist. If you will allow me to over simplify, there are two types of fantasy literature, fantasy of the future which we call science fiction and fantasy of the past which we could call fantasy. In the fantasy of the past there are wizards, in the fantasy of the future there are scientists, they serve roughly the same function. Neither exist in the real world.

In the real world their are experts in narrowly defined scientific fields. Outside of your narrowly defined scientific field you are a layman. For example, on the subject of intelligent design should we consider a chemist's opinion better than a doctor, or a lawyer?

I could put together an index page to coordinate the science pages.

The religious method page, can that go forward. Will I risk status with those web sites that check orthodoxy. Not that I think it is unorthodox, just a bit half baked. Perhaps I need to work a little on saying these things are a bit speculative.
