As you guys who are here would already know, George played two characters in the ill-fated soap, Savannah. Started out as a real bad guy ( but he looked soo nice... ), Travis Petersen, in the beginning and ended with a fatal bang... alas we thought that would be the end of our sweet, laidback Southern dude but the fans loved him too much. So George was asked to come back as Nick Corelli, his identical twin. Don't you just love soaps *grin*. Character info: In the beginning of the WB television series, Savannah, he debuted as Southern charmer, Travis Petersen. Well, as they say, handsome is as handsome does and this bayou bad-boy was as bad as they came. With an eye on the pecan-pie-sweet blond heiress Reese Burton's wealth, Travis sets out to woo her. With those dark good looks and that million-dollar smile, who can blame Miss Burton for falling desperately for him. ( I mean, a smile from him and I'd give him anything he wants ) But even before the wedding ceremony, our intrepid Travis still manages to sneak in a few minutes of decadent pleasure with Peyton Richards, Reese's `best friend' and resident femme fatale. But Travis gets his dues as he is murdered just fresh after donning his wedding ring. But as they say, you can't keep a `good' man down. While Travis' death still haunted everyone's thoughts, a gorgeous doppelganger appears in town. Peyton almost suffers a heart attack when the assumed dead Travis comes up to greet her at her doorstep. But it turns out that Travis has a long-lost twin brother, Nick Corelli ( who is of course played by George Eads ). Adopted by different parents, Nick was raised by a filthy rich Texan family in Spurr, Texas. Only meeting his brother once, Nick wanted to get to know him even better but arrives a tad too late in Savannah. Needless to say, Peyton and Reese are not terribly amused at his return. Neither are some of Travis' crooked cronies. Needless to say, his welcoming reception was not one of the best. For starters, he's greeted by a fainting Reese, kicked out of the house by the two vengeful Southern belles and then he's also embroiled in a good, ol' fashioned brawl ( some goons are after the Centurion emerald which was stolen by Travis ). As resourceful as the man is, Nick manages to recover the gem ( with the reluctant help of Peyton ) and also manages to charm his way into Reese's heart ( while working as a bartender on the S.S. Savannah ). But their cosy relationship does not last long. Due to some misunderstandings, Reese breaks up with Nick and he starts a torrid affair with the sexy Peyton. Their romance seemed strong, even lasting through various lil hiccups like Nick's old flame, Sonny Lee. For a time, Peyton and Nick even moved in together but then love never did run that smoothly ( not in soaps anyway ). But Nick never did realize that all the while Peyton had an eye for his money. Recently, Nick and Reese conspired to humiliate both Tom Massick and Peyton for trying to marry them for their money. They also found out that Peyton and Tom had been lovers and had even been married secretly. Vowing to get even, Nick and Reese work together in their schemes and start mending their relationship. During the finale... the double wedding between Reese and Tom; Nick and Peyton; Reese suddenly steps up to the podium and reveals Peyton's treacherous schemes to everyone. An enraged Peyton stomps off in a fury, vowing revenge, dragging Tom behind her. Our hero, Nick, stays behind and soothes the beautiful Reese.
