Hi Folks
I'm trying to
improve on this show that I am convinced was recorded on the same sorry-ass
microphone/machine that the St. Paul
show was recorded on. It's hard to do
anything at all to these but we won't know if we don't try. When the band is playing
there is not any guitar unless the Strat is screamin'. You can hear every distorted note of Billy's
bass. Mitch is barely making the beat audible, the snair
gets thru barely. Listen for Jimi's solos, you can barely hear em now
too.
I slowed it down
-5%, normalized to 97%[CoolEdit2000], EQ'd to lower
the bass a little, bring out the snair, took out a
dozen or so micro gaps, re-indexed. Sounds not quite so
obnoxious. This is the source that was just torrented
on Easytree..
