Like our mostly misunderstood Lady of the Lake, Ami-chan, there's more to LOI than what meets the eye. ^_- Wanna know more? Read on about all the obscure, little known tidbits, or should I say, droplets that make up the big Lake... The Lake of Illusions found its beginnings in a page called Icesenshi's Little Bubble Aquarium, only a small part of the Kitchen Raiders' Otaku Fridge, or Kitchen Raiders' Fridge as it was called back then. It was deleted recently due to the revamping of the Otaku Fridge. ;_;
The whole Lake of Illusions as of this anniversary is composed of 116 .GIF files, 456 .JPG files, 175 .HTML files and 1 .TXT file, plus 26 sub-directories. (But some of these are parts of still unopened sections)
Bowaggi actually got the acronym LOI (for Lake of Illusions) from Skeeter, webmistress of Evolution. When she made a banner for all the Kraiders (Thank you, Skeeter! ^_^), the filename of the image was "loi.jpg", and from then on, Bow decided to adapt LOI as an acronym for the Lake.
Ever since the unfortunate "mercury hater" (a cowardly guestbook signer blatantly proclaiming his strong dislike for Ami) was featured in Ripples, more than ten people have signed my guestbook vowing that they would make that person sorry if they ever came across him/her. How happy Ami-chan must be that people would defend her so passionately! ^_^
If there's anyone who has helped Bowaggi most with LOI when she started out, it has to be Ruk. (She's the one who made Icesenshi's Little Bubble Aquarium for me, looked for my webspace at Geocities, signed me up, got me an email and url forwarder, set up my guestbook, set up my tracker, made me my very first banner. *hugs* There. I can only do that online--I'm not really used to hugging you in person. ^_^;;;)
To help make LOI, Bowaggi has 13Mb worth of Ami pictures on my hard drive, while the Lake of Illusions' HTML files and images take up another 8Mb of space. (My mom always complains that our computer already lacks in space because of it... ^_^) |
