The story of L5R has been unfolding for 2 years, and now it has finally come to a dramatic conclusion. Legend of the Five Rings is a CCG created by the Five Rings Publishing Group. Based on an oriental theme, namely Feudal Japan, you play as one of the 12 clans and factions in the battle to conquer all of Rokugan.

The Six Great Clans

Crane Clan
With quiet dignity and poise, the Crane clan controls the political movements within Rokugan.

The Esteemed House of the Crane House Ability: Limited: bow to gain 2 honor.
Crab Clan
Masters of warfare who consider victory more important than honor.
Province Strength: 7

The War Fortress of the Crab House Ability: Open: bow to add +3 to your province strength until end of turn.
The Great Walls of Kaiu House Ability: You may not bring Shadowlands cards into play. All fortifications you are bringing into play have their gold cost reduced by 4.
Dragon Clan
Mysterious and secretive, these warrior-wizards are known for their shaved heads and tattooed bodies.

The Mountain Keep of the Dragon House Ability: Whenever one of your provinces is destroyed, add a permanent +2 to the base strength of your other provinces.
Kyuden Hitomi House Ability: After your opponent has revealed his stronghold but before the game starts, you may place 5 cards from your Fate deck face down under Kyuden Hitomi. Instead of drawing from your fate deck, you may instead choose to bow this stronghold to draw one of the cards placed under it.
Lion Clan
Proud and honorable, their flowing manes warn enemies of their ferocity in battle.

The Ancestral Home of the Lion House Ability: Open: bow to give +2 force to any Lion personality until end of turn.
The Ancient Halls of the Akodo
The Ancient Halls of the Lion
House Ability: Battle: bow to destroy a terrain. Reaction: bow to negate the effects of a terrain card as it is being played. The terrain remains in play but has no effects.
Phoenix Clan
The masters of the elemental magics. Their powerful sorcery compensates for weakness in battle.

Starting Honor: 5
The Sacred Temple of the Phoenix House Ability: Bow to produce 5 gold when paying for a Shugenja or spell, or to produce 7 gold when paying for a Shugenja or spell and the participating Shugenja gains the Shadowlands trait.
The Ruins of Isawa Palace House Ability: Open: bow the ruins and a monk or shugenja you control to search your fate deck for a kiho card and play it.
Unicorn Clan
Strong in magic and resources, with the most powerful cavalry in the Empire.
Province Strength: 6
Gold Production: 5
Starting Honor: 4
The Provincial Estate of the Unicorn House Ability: Open: bow to give one of your cards the Cavalry trait until end of turn.

Naga
This mysterious, long-lost race of snake-people has recently stepped out of myth and into the war.
Province Strength: 6
Gold Production: 3 Starting Honor: 2
The Hidden Temples of the Naga House Ability: You may not win through honor victory. You may ignore the honor requirements of your Naga Personalities if you have no Shadowlands cards in play. Limited: bow to attach a 1F Naga follower to any Naga personality in play.
Scorpion Clan
Nearly destroyed years ago by the combined might of the Six Clans, the honorless Scorpions plot in secrecy.

Starting Honor: 0
Province Strength: 6

Ruined Fortress of the Scorpion House Ability: You may not win through honor victory. If your family honor drops down to -20, you do not lose the game but your unadjusted province strength is permanently reduced to 0.
Shadow Stronghold of the Bayushi House Ability: Open: you may look at your opponent's hand if this stronghold is unbowed. Lose 1 honor.
Toturi's Army
Led by the disgraced former Lion Champion, this patchwork army singlemindedly fights the Shadowlands.
Province Strength: 6
Gold Production: 3
Starting Honor: 2
Toturi's Army House Ability: You may ignore honor requirements when bringing Unaligned or Toturi's Army personalities into play. You may not have more than 2 Shadowlands cards in your deck.
Yogo Junzo's Army
Organized at last under the master of the Black Scrolls Yogo Junzo, Shadowlands denizens pillage in the name of Fu Leng.
Province Strength: 5
Gold Production: 0
Starting Honor: -19
Junzo's Army
The Shadowlands Horde
House Ability: You cannot lose or gain honor. You may not play political actions. You may have no allies or play the Alliance event, and your units cannot swear fealty. Your units are immune to fear. Reaction: bow to produce 4 gold when bringing a Shadowlands card into play.
The Yoritomo Alliance
The minor clans have now become a force in Rokugan under the Mantis Clan's leadership.
Province Strength: 6
Gold Production: 4
Starting Honor: 2
Yoritomo's Alliance House Ability: Reaction: when bowing your stronghold, you may lose family honor to increase it's gold production on a 1 for 1 basis. This honor loss may not be altered or redirected. You cannot use this ability if it would reduce your family honor below 0.
The Brotherhood of Shinsei
The enlightened monks of Rokugan emerge from their temples to fight Fu Leng's evil.
Province Strength: 6
Gold Production: 3
Starting Honor: 4
The Brotherhood of Shinsei House Ability: Reaction: bow when you have fulfilled the conditions for bringing an elemental ring into play. You may search your fate deck and put that ring into play.
