Toma-chan's YST/RW Page...

Konnichiwa!! Welcome to the wing that I have devoted to the awesome "Samurai Troopers", although I will also have the American version, which was released as Ronin Warriors(and this was how I was introduced to it...). As mentioned before, it's the story of five teenage boys(listed down below) who call upon magical samurai armor to save the world from a demonic invasion by the evil Netherworld. 39 T.V. episodes were released, as were 3 OAVs that continue the series(Gai-Den, Kikoutei Dentetsu, and Messages...

The Heroes

• Rekka no Ryo(Ryo of the Wildfire) - his power comes from the element of fire, which means he is capable of generating intense heat and the power of the volcanoes...Considered the leader, his armor is red, and symbol is 'Harmony'(virtue). He has black hair, blue eyes, aged 14(17) in the 39 eps., and is an only child that lives with his father who is gone most of the time because of his photography job...


• Kongo no Shu(Kento of Hardrock) - power is of the earth, so is able to create earthquakes, and uses the ground itself sometimes...Cocky and sometimes bullheaded, his armor is orange, and symbol is 'Justice'(in both versions). A bit chubby, he is of Chinese desent and has blue-gray hair and eyes, aged 14(16), and lives with his many siblings and parents who own a restaurant in Yokahama...


• Korin no Seiji(Sage of the Halo) - power comes from the spirit - can heal, but is also able to use lightning as power...Considered to be the cautious one, his armor is green, and symbol is 'Courtesy'(Wisdom). He has blonde hair and violet(sometimes grey) eyes, is aged 15(16), and lives in Tokyo, where his grandfather and mother manage a dojo with his policeman father, since they are descended from an important clan. He also has an older and younger sister...


• Suiko no Shin(Cye or Sai of the Torrent) - power is element of water, which he can contol to use against his enemies...A bit shy(but considered to be the mediator of the group), his armor is light blue and symbol is 'Trust'(both versions). Is the oldest by a few months(but is youngest on American version), has brown hair and blue-green eyes(to match the sea), and was raised by his mother and older sister(his father apparently died while he was young)...


• Tenku no Toma(Rowen of the Strata) - Able to control the wind, his power comes from the element of air...Considered the genius(sometimes see him with books), his armor is dark blue and symbol is 'Wisdom'(Life Force). He has blue hair(with one long stubborn forelock hanging between his eyes) and stormy-blue eyes, is youngest at age 14(17), and his parents are divorced - he lives with his father who is a research technician who is away most of the time at his lab, but his mother, who is a world-traveling journalist, visits occasionally...
