Welcome to Tucson

Welcome to monsoon season!

Neat picture, huh? This is Tucson at its most dramatic! It's actually a very nice change from that "dry heat" that everybody knows us for.

When I first came out here, I thought I was destined to be miserable, bored and sunburned. God, how wrong I was! This place has an odd, creative energy to it. While it may be true that this town is slow to pick up on the latest thing, it allows us the chance to come up with something on our own while we're waiting.

The best example of this is the website for the Hotel Congress. The Hotel Congress is where police captured Criminal Mastermind John Dillinger back in the 1930's, and now it is one of the hottest clubs in the nation! You must see it to believe it!

As for myself, I've grown to love this place! I work as an Assistant Manager for Casual Male Big and Tall but I'm looking for other work right now. I'm currently attending Pima Community College and I'm so damn close to graduating it's driving me nuts. And of course, I keep up to date on the local goings-on and scuttlebutt with the Tucson Weekly. And, I'd be absolutely evil if I failed to mention the place where I built this entire website, The University Of Arizona Main Library.

The only unfortunate thing is that I have no car (and in the summer months, an air-conditioned car is almost a necessity), so I've been riding the local bus service. I just love going to job interviews sweating like a pig and having my hair frazzled! By the time I get there, I look like Charles Manson after a workout on the Stairmaster!

Well, if there's anything else you need to know about what it's like here in the Old Pueblo, you could check out these sites...
