Animal Farm George Orwell
Discuss This Book

--This story is about corruption in governnment, and describes to the reader how a seemingly good thing can easily turn bad before the public realizes what is happening. A point I found interesting was how George Orwell portrayed the pigs in relation to the humans, and how the relationship changed throughout the story. This book is done in parabal format, similar to that of children's books.

At the beginning of the book, the animals that live on the farm decide it would be a good idea to overthrow the human that runs the farm, and run it themselves. At first they simply want the farm to produce enough for themselves, and all animals are treated as equals. Later, though, the animals begin to want more, and the phrase develops that "some animals are more equal than others." It is an entertaining book, and still able to get a valid point across to the reader. I certainly recommend this one!
