Of Mice And Men John Steinbeck
Discuss This Book--Like The Grapes Of Wrath, this book is aabout a couple of poor people living during the Depression. Most of this book is full of humor. The two main characters, George and Lenny, are looking to make some money so they can buy a small farm. Lenny was my favorite character in the book. He isn't very smart, but he's got a large heart and cares very much about those around him.
When George and Lenny find work on a ranch, Lenny unintentionally gets the two of them into trouble. Again, like the Grapes of Wrath, this book does not have a happy ending, rather it has a pretty sad one. (I did enjoy the book though)
