Computer software and tips
Computer programming is my job, the way I make my living,
and I do not want to dwell much on it. However, with time,
I have designed a few tools for my own convenience,
and some of them may be useful to other people. There is
nothing you cannot find in commercial software, or somewhere on the
Web. Just simple toys to do simple things. There are people
who do programming for fun, and they put a lot of effort
and ingenuity in their products; as a professional programmer,
I have no time for fun at all.
Just a few selections from my stock.
- Spira for Windows
-
A simple graphic toy that display a kind of show on the screen
using a simple script file. It was designed for use in psychotherapy
for mood control and creativity development.
- Spira for DOS
-
An earlier version of Spira working under MS DOS, Windows 3.x,
Windows'95 and Windows'98. It does not work in the NT architecture.
- Xlseq for Windows
-
A command line program for translating any sequences of bytes
into other sequences. With different translation tables, one can
convert files from one code page to another, edit text files,
modify any non-text files etc.
- Xlseq for DOS
-
An earlier MS DOS version of Xlseq, working with DOS file names only.
It is rather slow under Windows NT or 2000.
All my programs are FREE,
they can be distributed in any way, without hindering anyboby
using them. The files are ZIP acrchives, with the instructions
inside. Unpack, install and use, if you wish.
