Teen Titans is a wonderful series and with the revamped version released from Cartoon Network, it was about time to make a costume from it. The last time I had a superhero type costume was Batman Beyond, so it was nice to test my skills at making a costume like that. I was initially thinking of making the Robin costume but after discussion with AJ (who insisted I be Aqualad) and Dez (who wanted to be Robin) and that I liked blue vinyl better than green, I went with Aqualad. I also like Aqualad's new design compared to his "old school" comic book design where he was more of a Mini Aquaman. I was quite fortunate to meet Aqualad's voice actor Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) as well as his creator Marv Wolfman at LosCon 30. |
