Story: |
Mr. Satan is just too cool. He's a goof, and totally powerless, but he's tremendously funny. I needed a partner for my Anime Expo skit so I designed this costume so my Trunks had someone to beat up. Mr. Satan's regular brown Gi costume was quite drab, so I decided on Full Regalia Mr. Satan with championship belt and all. I, at first thought Mr. Satan was too obscure, and no one would recognize him, but the fans at Anime Expo proved me wrong with chants of "Satan, Satan" on stage. Makes me wonder sometimes. It was also a nice thing that he isn't as well known as Goku or Piccolo, because I've never seen anyone cosplay him before, and I like his uniqueness. |
Revision Notes: |
After Anime Expo, I wanted to revise Mr. Satan since he was a -rush- job done in three days prior to Expo 98. So a black curly wig was added for more volume, the moustache and sideburns were re-done with excess wig hair. The original cape was tossed for a new double sided black and red cape, with yellow flames adorning the back, just like the boots. The lightning bolt was added to the top of his white gi, and red pinstripes for the pants. |
