Company Chicken Casserole (crock-pot)
1 pkg. (8 oz) noodles
3 cups diced cooked chicken
1 1/2 cups cream-style cottage cheese
1 cup grated sharp processed cheese
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
1/2 cup diced onion
1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 jar (4 oz) pimiento, diced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tbls butter, melted
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
Cook noodles according to package directions in boiling water until barely tender; drain and rinse thoroughly.
In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients with noodles, making certain the noodles are separated and coated with liquid.
Pour mixture into greased crock-pot.
Cover and cook on low 6-10 hours or on high 3-4 hours.
Note:
Cooked turkey can be substituted for the chicken)
