Christmas Honey Balls
1 stick Margarine
4 cups All-purpose Flour
1 cup Honey
1 cup Sour Cream
4 whole Eggs
2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Baking Powder
48 Walnut halves
Pre-heat oven to 350
Lightly grease 2 cookie/baking sheets.
Set aside.
Cut margarine into flour with a pastry knife, or blend in a large mixing bowl.
Place honey in microwave-safe bowl.
Heat on half-power until bubbling.
Add honey to flour and margarine. Stir well.
Add sour cream, eggs, baking soda, and baking powder to mixture.
Knead the mixture into a smooth dough. If necessary, add more flour, 1 T. at a time, until dough is no longer too sticky to work.
Pinch off small pieces of dough, roll into about 3/4" size balls.
Place balls on prepared baking sheet.
Press a walnut half in center of each cookie
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden
Cool on a wire rack
Makes 46 cookies
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks
