French Onion Soup
'This is the best French Onion Soup I've found...easy and good'
5 large onions, sliced
1/2 cup butter or margarine
9 beef bouillon cubes
6 cups hot water
1-1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
Saute onions in butter until lightly browned
In crock pot, combine onions with other ingredients
Cover & cook on low 4 to 6 hours
Ladle into ovenproof bowls and top with toasted french bread and shredded cheese of your choice (I use mozzarella)
Place in 375° oven to melt and lightly brown cheese
Note:Can cook longer than 6 hours if you are at work
