- 1-1/2 lbs veal steak, 1/2 to 3/4" thick
- 1 medium onion, thin sliced
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup soured cream
- 1/3 cup condensed beef broth
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 3 drops pepper sauce
- Cut meat into serving pieces
- Pound till double in area
- In iron skillet, cook onion and garlic in hot lard till onion is tender but not brown; remove from skillet
- Dip steaks in flour seasoned with 1 tsp salt & 1/4 tsp pepper
- Let sit for 5 minutes and redip
- Brown on both sides in hot lard
- Add cooked onions and garlic to meat
- Cover & cook slowly 15 minutes or till meat is tender
- Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat
- Cover tightly and simmer 10-15 minutes longer
