Veal Parmesan


  • 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • dash pepper
  • 5 3/4" veal chops
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 5 thin slices Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) can seasoned tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp crushed oregano

  • Mix crumbs, parmesan cheese, salt & pepper
  • Dip chops in egg and then in crumbs
  • Brown on both sides in hot oil
  • Place a slice of cheese on top of each chop
  • Mix tomato sauce and garlic and pour over chops
  • Sprinkle with oregano
  • Simmer covered for 50 minutes til meat is done
  • Add a tablespoon or 2 of water if needed
