- 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- dash pepper
- 5 3/4" veal chops
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 5 thin slices Mozzarella cheese
- 1 (8 oz) can seasoned tomato sauce
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp crushed oregano
- Mix crumbs, parmesan cheese, salt & pepper
- Dip chops in egg and then in crumbs
- Brown on both sides in hot oil
- Place a slice of cheese on top of each chop
- Mix tomato sauce and garlic and pour over chops
- Sprinkle with oregano
- Simmer covered for 50 minutes til meat is done
- Add a tablespoon or 2 of water if needed
