Deluxe Christmas Salad
1-1/2 cup red hot cinnamon candies
2 cups boiling water
2 3-oz. packages of lemon Jello
3 cups applesauce
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Dissolve candies in boiling water in saucepan over low heat
Add Jello. Stir until dissolved
Add applesauce
Pour half of mixture into dish. Chill until set
Spread with mixture of cream cheese, mayonnaise, celery, and nuts Top with remaining gelatin mixture
Chill until firm
Serves 8 to 10 people or one hungry husband
