Merry Chocolate Nut Clusters (microwave recipe)
1 cup (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup vanilla milk chips
1 tbsp. shortening
1 (11.5 oz.) can lightly salted peanuts
In 1 qt glass measure with handle, combine chocolate and vanilla chips and shortening
Microwave on 100% high power 1-1 1/2 minutes or until chips are melted & mixture is smooth when stirred
Reserve 1/4 cup peanuts; stir remaining peanuts into chocolate mixture
Drop by teaspoonfuls on-to wax-paper lined baking sheet
Top each candy with a reserved peanut
Chill until set about 1 hour
Store tightly covered in cool dry place
Makes about 3 dozen
