I made these last year for my friend Lynn and my now son in law. I put them in cookie tins and they went "nuts" over them . They really make a
rather elegant gift and actually are very expensive to buy already made.
That's why when I saw this recipe on the back of the pecan bag I
just had to make them. This is a must try recipe if you enjoy nuts or if
you like to do the homemade gift thing
1/4 cup skim milk
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. water
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3 cups pecans or walnuts
Combine first 5 ingredients, cook on medium high heat until sugar is
dissolved.
Add nuts and heat until pecans are completely sugared
with no syrup left.
Spread on waxed paper to cool.
When completely cool, put in air tight containers.
