In medium bowl, combine sausage, pepper and onions, mix well.
Unroll one package of rolls and press seams together to form a large
triangle. Repeat with other pkg.
Spread half of sausage mixture over each rectangle. Starting
from a narrow end, roll in jellyroll style
Cut each roll into 8 equal slices and place on a foil covered cookie sheet to form a Christmas tree. Bake 25 - 30 minutes or until sausage is no longer pink and crust is golden.
(I have not made this, but I am going to put the sausage in the
microwave on 'thaw' mode and see if I can't remove some fat and
water from the meat before mixing and spreading. Also, with this recipe there is a picture of how this is laid out - one roll at the very top, then two, then three, then four, then five - and at the center of the last
row, one more as the 'trunk' of the tree) (I'm gonna try it with shredded pepperoni, too)
