Travolta Warns Fans He's a Villain

DENVER (AP) - John Travolta is warning his fans not to expect him to be a hero in his newest movie.
``I play a pretty bad guy,'' Travolta told 10,000 people at a promotional gathering of science fiction fans this weekend. ``Today, I take you over in a good way. On May 12, I take Denver over in a bad way.''
That's when ``Battlefield Earth'' opens. Travolta plays a 9-foot-1, 543-pound alien intent on destroying Earth.
The movie is based on a book by the late science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, founder of the Church of Scientology, of which Travolta is a member.
