Wow, is Scientologist/actor John Travolta ever serious about making a success of his feature adaption of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard's "Battlefield Earth!" Travolta, star and producer of the science-fiction film that rolls in July, has lined up some of the creative team behind "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace" to work on his "Battlefield".
"We've got (second unit director) Roger Christian, and we've got the cinematographer..." he disclosed. Travolta, who calls the "Battlefield" project the passion of his professional life - he's been developing it for 6 years - says he plays a "9-foot alien, or a 10-foot alien, and I have talons, amber eyes and a big headdress.....I play a very wicked part." Travolta also says, "Star Wars" helps all science-fiction movies. I think it's the king of inspiration."
