The poetry that appears here will always follow the theme of these pages: fantasy, sci-fi, and horror. Sometimes the poetry will be a "may be" poem: it may be a poem unrelated to the theme but looks like it is, or it may be a poem that is related to the theme but doesn't look like it is. Haiku The haiku appears on the top in roomaji (Romanization) in white with the corresponding English translation on the bottom in pink/magenta. I originally wrote these in Japanese following as closely as possible the traditional method of writing haiku. The translation into English is necessarily sketchy and does not conform to the style taught in English classes in America. I apologize in advance if I have erred in my preparation and translation of these haiku.
Tanjoo wa Hai no sensoo Hanaga saku Birth Ashes of war Flowers bloom.	Zenshin wa Matsubayashi shinu Biru haeru Progress Pine forests die Buildings flourish in the earth.	Momiji no ha Hinata de akai Jika wa neru Leaves of the maple Red in the sun The deer sleep.
Semi no koe Kuuki ni odoru Natsu wa kuru Voices of the cicada Dancing in the air Summer comes.	Natsu no yoru Hotaru wa sora ni Namida no hi Nights of summer Fireflies in the sky Tears of light.	Fuyuyasumi Samui kuuki wa Kao o yaku Winter vacation The cold air Burns my face.
