The poetry that appears here will always follow the theme of these pages: fantasy, sci-fi, and horror. Sometimes the poetry will be a "may be" poem: it may be a poem unrelated to the theme but looks like it is, or it may be a poem that is related to the theme but doesn't look like it is. I leave it to you to decide.

The Hidden Crown
Disk of shadow, rising across
The daylit sky, pursuing the sun
And snaring it, devours it.
Sunlit fades, as darkness creeps
Across the sun's face. The air grows chill.
Shadows vanish, but so does light.
Blackness spreads, becomes complete.
The sun vanishes, hidden by midnight.
Naught remains, all is gone.
Flaring fire, azure flame
Ringing the shadow, crowning the night.
Blazing brightly, revealed at last.
Sun rebels, driving the shadowed orb
On its way, driving it along,
Across the sky, trailing sunlight behind it.
Glory of the sun, revealed once more,
But crowning glory, hidden once more,
Awaits another day, when once more,
The disk of shadows, cold and dark,
Of dayless night, of nightless day,
Rises again, to eclipse the sun.
