About me
I live in Deltona, Florida. I just turned 19 years old. I watch Star Trek and I love those bushy-tailed nut-nibblers that most of you call squirrels! I have a pet ground squirrel named Rikki and a flying squirrel named Scalisti, which is "Rocky" in Russian. I have Gerbils too. I also have been playing the 'cello for 6 years and am composing my own music. Oh, and, by the way, I'm often referred to as Squirrelman. If you want to chat with me, I'm often available on my new Java Quizlet, Chat line and Message Board. I was finally able to upload pictures of myself. To see what I look like, click here, here, or here. See my collection of squirrel stuff.

What I'm interested in:
- Star Trek
Live long and prosper! I've been a fan of this show for several years. However, I think I'm fading out from it. There's the original series with captain Kirk and Mr. Spock; there's The Next Generation with captain Picard and commander Riker; there's Deep Space Nine with captain Sisco and Major Kira; and my favorite, Voyager with captain Janeway and commander Chakotay.
- squirrels
My favorite animals. They give me joy when I'm feeling down. I'm against hunting, so I'll defend them when I can. Let me tell you about the four main kinds of tree squirrels here in USA. First of all, there's the fox squirrel (Sciurus niger). They are the largest tree squirrels here. In Florida, they are very beautiful, but I never see them 'cause they are always hiding. Next is the famous gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis). They are about half the size of a fox squirrel, and no matter where you go, they're everywhere. Next is the red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus). These wee little guys don't live in Florida, but they are common up north. They are smaller than gray squirrels, and when you're near them, they'll chatter up a storm! Most people say these are the cutest squirrels ever. Last but not least is the flying squirrel (Glaucomys volans & G. sabrinus). These two species are the southern and northern flying squirrels, respectively. They are famous for their excellent gliding ability. The one I have is the southern kind. There are other species of squirrel in the USA, such as the Western gray squirrel (Sciurus griseus) common to Californians, Oregonians, and Washingtonians; and the tassel-eared squirrel (Sciurus aberti) common to Arizonians, Coloradoans, and New Mexicans. There are other members of the squirrel family in USA such as several species of ground squirrel (Spermophilus and Ammospermophilus), Chipmunks (Tamias), Woodchucks and Marmots (Marmota) and Prairie dogs (Cynomys). For a complete list of the world's species of squirrels, click here.
- nerdiness
Huh, huh. Yes, I'm a nerd and proud of it. I know more animal scientific names than names of people I know. Hold on, I'm still working on inventing my new microprocessor that will be used to interpret any programming language. Then, I'm going to the university to study the quasimolecular effects of subnulear ionized particals in delta rays. It's a heck of a lot better than football, don't you think?
- languages:
I do have a certain fondness for language. Even though I'm not a people-person, I enjoy sitting near tables with foreign speakers and listening to them speak their language even though I have no idea what they're saying.

Squirrel-related subpages I made:
Pictures of squirrels I've borrowed:
- Gray Squirrels - New updated links to more photos (not necessarily gray squirrels).
- Marmots - For those of you that don't know, a marmot is kinda like a woodchuck.
- Fox Squirrels - Updated. Come see what the ones in the southeast look like.
- Ground Squirrels
- Chipmunks
- Prairie Dogs
- Eurasian Red Squirrels from Marianna's squirrel page.
- Other Squirrels - On the top there's a tassel-eared squirrel and a Eurasian Red squirrel (a species which is also tassel-eared but this individual must have been photographed in the summer because he [or she] lacks ear tufts); 3 American Red squirrels on the bottom.
- To be honest, I'm not completely squirrelocentric. I have taken pictures of other wildlife, such as a deer at Shenandoah National Park, a rabbit from Massachusetts, and a raccoon from Alexander Springs State park.
On your right is an American red squirrel. The critters on the top are a Western gray and a fox squirrel. The critter on the background wallpaper is a Siberian red squirrel named Pyon.
