Squirrels From Outer Space, Part 4
by Andrew Watts

On earth, I originally came to rescue squirrels from hunters and predators, even though the Eesk-Nret have already done so. Now, I have a new nemesis to beware of. With the Evil One unconcious, I still have a slight problem about his assistant, Bibi Gunn, encountering me and my friends outside the evil HQ.

"Squirrelman," said Scalisti, "I know some people who can help you stop all kinds of prejudice towards squirrels."

"I'm all ears," I said.

"There's no way you can stop us," said Bibi.

"Oh, but there is," Scalisti replied. Another ship, not of Eesk-Nret design, approached their coordinates. "These people are called Rusovians, a race of squirrel lovers."

One of the Rusovians materialized to the surface. He was humanoid, and had tufted ears, connecting eyebrows, and a long chin. "Bibi Gunn," he said, "I'm Omarro Zeecha. I want you to come to my ship."

"Never!" she yelled.

But immediately, Bibi was transported to a large auditorium with other squirrel haters. Next to her sat a young man from Virginia, known as the Rat King, who wanted to eliminate squirrels from his neighborhood using his pet rats as an army. On the stage, there was a Rusovian who said, "listen, all who are disillusioned: You are going to watch a video made by Rusovians and Eesk-Nret. This way you will become enlightened."

The video, which was about how and why people should love squirrels, was produced by the some of the best film makers in the galaxy. No human could have made a presentation quite like it. After it was over, Bibi had a change of heart. The video was so heartwarming about loving squirrels that all the squirrel haters were converted.

When Bibi was transported back to her original coordinates, she said, "Omarro, Squirrelman, I now love squirrels. Also, I lied when I said I was Sufelian." She took a knife out and cut her hand to show that her blood was red and not a purplish-green acid. "Please take me to the Rusovian vessel." She was immediately transported there.

On my belt, the distress call was still beeping. According to the reading, there was a Richardson Ground Squirrel being threatened by a hunter in Alberta. I then jumped into the air and flew at a supersonic speed and instinctively landed on the correct coordinates.

"Who the heck are you," asked the hunter.

"Squirrelman, here to rescue the squirrel you bully!"

"My hero," said the squirrel.

"What's your name, little one?" I asked.

"Just call me Rikki," she answered. "It's short for the name of my species, Richardson Ground Squirrel." So I picked her up and brought her back to the SDL HQ.

"Let's all leave this garbage dump!" I said to the squirrels, Eesk-Nret, and Omarro.

"Great plan!" Omarro transported back to his ship and me and the squirrels and Eesk-Nret went to the Eesk-Nret ship. On the bridge of the Rusovian vessel, Omarro hailed us saying, "we are on a joint mission to destroy the SDL HQ."

"Let's get to it!," I replied. Phasers from the Eesk-Nret ship and torpedos from the Rusovian ship immediately fired on the SDL HQ and it blew up to smitherines. Everyone on both ships cheered in delight, even Bibi Gunn, who eventually changed her name to Beatrice Gunther.

On our screen, we could see the Rusovian vessel head back towards Rusovi, their planet, as we were heading towards the Eesk-Nret alliance.

"I wonder what will become of Beatrice," I said. "She's now with the Rusovians."

"I saw it in Omarro's eyes that he's in love with her," said Reechi. "Eesk-Nret have been living with Rusovians for centuries and we know almost all about them."

"But I haven't seen you with Rusovians when I met you," I said. "Do you live together on your planet or Rusovi?"

"Our planet because the trees on our planet are more suitable to our needs than the ones on Rusovi," said Reechi. "They're too small, like earth trees."

"I haven't yet been to your planet," I said.

"I know," said Reechi. "That's exactly where we're going. Our mission to the Eesk-Nret homeworld, which the Rusovians call Zorcos 4, had to be cut short because of your rescue mission on earth."

When we arrived at Zorcos 4, we found a good place to land. When I got out, I saw trees much larger than the Redwood trees of California. "Those trees are huge!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, those are just bushes to us," said Cheegora as she got out of the ship. "You shoud see the kuod trees in the mountains of Klee-ishk. They are so tall they reach space."

"Cool," I replied.

Cheegora took out her communications belt and contacted the Eesk-Nret alliance confirming they have a Sufelian ship in their control. For generations, this technology will benifit all of the Eesk-Nret, humans, and squirrels. 1
