Stave Lake, Mission BC

About a 20 minute drive from home, Stave Lake road is well known with the locals. It is widely used for dirt biking, hiking, camping, swimming in the lakes, 4 X 4 and more. For the first couple of times I looked out from the boat launch ramp, I didn't think much of this popular lake. It looked small and full of stumps. Then one day I was looking at a map and suddenly realized that what I had been looking at from the ramp was only Stave River! The map showed the skinny waterway went up for about 5 Km. and then opened up into a huge lake. Well, we then had to take the boat up there and see for ourselves. We made our way up to find a beautiful lake. It was very quiet and empty of vacationers. Click here to learn more about Stave Lake. We found an amazing camp zone and set up for 3 days.
