Gnocci


  • 3 large potatoes (boiled with jackets on)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated cheese

    Peel potatoes while hot and add flour and egg. This will be like a dough. Roll dough into long strips in the shape of bread sticks. Cut into 1 inch pieces and make print with fork in each.

    Drop into boiling salted water. When they come to the top, remove from water and drain. Put in casserole by layers. Between each layer of gnocci put a layer of sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Serve this with your favorite meat.

    SERVES: 4-6
