Italian Stuffed Onions


  • 8 medium sized onions
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 lb. ground veal
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup grated bread sticks
  • 1/2 stick of butter (1/4 in pan, 1/4 in onion centers)
  • 1/4 pint half & half cream
  • 4 yolks and 2 whites of eggs.

    Boil onions until tender but do not over cook so they are limp. Scoop out centers and grind same. Add all ingredients and mix well. Be sure to add bread sticks last. Stuff onion centers and bake for approximately 25 minutes. They are done when they have a light brown top to them.
