Agencies and Organizations involved in the Next Generation Internet Initiative

The NGI Initiative is working with the Internet2 project, a similar program created by universities, and the vBNS, or "very high performance Backbone Network Service", which will be providing much of the network hardware needed. The project, however, is primarily being supported by the following agencies:
