The official J/C Index "Endgame" Challenge

Endgame ChallengeThe endgame challenge is over. It ran for a year, right up to the anniversary of the first "Endgame" airing. While Kira and I admittedly neglected our parts in this whole setup, Sonri thankfully saw it through to the end. And, eventually, a winner was chosen:

Congratulations to all the winners! And a message from Sonri:
My thanks to all who entered. I am sorry it took so long, real life called me away. Everyone did really well, and it was hard to pick winners. There were some that were way far out, making me laugh, and some that were very emotional, making me cry. I enjoyed doing this, and I hope, if I ever judge a challenge again, I can clear my schedule enough to judge within a practical time limit, or set one so I have to stick to it! My thanks again. ~Sonri

Tying The Threads
Date indexed: October 31, 2001
Rating: PG-13
Authors: The Finale Fixit Group (Editors: Cassatt & Shayenne)
Author's e-mail: finalefixit@yahoogroups.com
Summary: Episode addition to "Endgame". This is a group project, hoping to answer the questions tptb refused to address. What happened to the Maquis? Is the Doctor sentient? What are Tom and B'Elanna's plans? What about Icheb, Naomi, and Samantha, and Tuvok, and Harry, and Joe Carey's widow, and the lower decks crowd, and yes, even Seven.
This project, an interwoven story written in eleven chpaters, attempts to answer them all, and find a more... pleasing *resolution*.
The authors (in alpha order): AnneRose, Autopilot, Cassatt, Kayla, KJ, LA, LauraJo, Mary S., Saengerin, Shayenne, and Sheri.
There are downloadable versions on the site, as well as an optional NC17 version. Please, come read it. Enjoy.

P.S.: I thoroughly searched the whole index to find all the stories that were officially entered into the contest. In one or two cases an author had written to me after submitting the story to the index and requested additional admission into the contest (although it's probably not marked as such on the main index entry) and they are listed here as well. This is all I found! Two more entries had to be disqualified because being rated NC-17 they did not meet the contest requirements.
