Twinkie (Twink)

1962 Volkswagen Type 2
(Bus)

Can I get an amen?

I named this bus Twinkie because three separate people have accused it of looking like a Hostess snack while it's underneath its tarp! Its original color is a kind of sea-green, I really dig it. I will definitely be repainting it in a similar color. This bus used to be a church bus before it was sold, with its original rear and middle seats, to some dude who traded the middle seat for an engine and the rear seat for some cash. The bus is currently stripped -- you name it, I need it. There's not even a fuel tank. She's rusted to hell in the rockers, has some rust in the cargo floor although not bad, and has some signifigant rust in the front floors. And a dent in the roof. And a dent in the nose. But other than that, this is a great bus ;-) Seriously, it's nice and straight unlike my Kombi, is more solid than it looks, and other than where it is dented by the driver's side headlight, the nose is beautiful. Plus it's old!
